SA has created a truly innovative line in the SONAR Titan INT/Sink2/Sink3. This is a triple-density line, the first of its kind, that allows anglers to reap the benefits of a true sinking line with the easy-casting taper of a floating line. This is a line made for a variety of pursuits from Bass and Pike in freshwater to Stripers in saltwater. Any moderate/cold water fish that requires a sinking line and eats large streamers can be targeted using this line.
Â
AST Technology, Tripe-Density Build - SA has built a number of important features into this line. AST Technology allows anglers to quickly shoot line with friction-minimizing performance. Welded loops on both ends allow easy leader/backing attachment. A braided multifilament core is strong and supple for versatility and durability. This version of the SONAR Titan also features a durable triple density construction with a seamless transfer from intermediate to sink 2 and sink 3 for castability and practicality.
Â
Streamers, Distance Casting - SA has pioneered triple-density construction with this line. Three different densities allow the angler to get flies deep quickly and keep a constant connection between angler and fly. This is a great line for temperate climates including lakes, rivers, northern oceans and more. And, unlike other sinking lines, this line has a true taper so it casts as easily as a floating line. SA has built some pretty cool technology into this line to help you catch more fish on large flies this season.
Â
Cold/Moderate - This line is made to be used in cold and moderate climates including freshwater streams and rivers, lakes, and the ocean in the Northeast and Northwest. This is a line designed for casting from the shore for Stripers and other cold-water pursuits. That being said, this line will turn limp in tropical climates and isn’t meant to be used in high heat.
Â
Short, Powerful Head - Every line model in this series features a 33.5’ head which is relatively short. A short, powerful head helps anglers turn over large flies even in windy conditions. The WF8S line has a 30’ head weight of 280 grains which means it’s built heavy. Most shooting-style, sinking streamer lines have a similar design to maximize fly turnover and performance at longer distances.
