Uses

Blue Water, Large Fish - This is a serious line designed for series (and technical) fly rods. With sizes built to fit 11-15wt fly rods, this isn’t your everyday line. This is a line that’s ideal for the largest fish in the deepest water including tropical blue water conditions. Think Marlin, Sailfish, Giant Grouper, and more. SA says ‘this is a line for 15-weight rods and fish that weigh more than you do’.

Tropical/Warm - SA’s Tropi-Core Technology means that this line is built for tropical climates. The Titan Big Water Taper Max Sink works best in water temps and air temps that are warm or tropical and the fly line is designed for maximum performance in a tropical saltwater scenario. Due to its warm water design, this line will shrivel in cold weather or cold water.

Taper/Weight

Short, Powerful Head - This line comes in three different models, each with a 31’ head. The 500gr line is rated for 11-13wt rods, the 600gr line for 12-14wt rods, and the 700gr line for 13-15wt rods. These are incredibly heavy lines that are designed for quick-sinking performance and durability. These aren’t going to be the best ‘casting’ lines, but when partnered with the right fly rod they’re highly capable and undoubtedly the most durable line on the market.
