We all remember the first fish we’ve caught on a fly–it’s one of those memories that will be looked back at with happiness and pride as we enter each developing stage of being a fly angler. And whether you’re putting your kid on something a little easier like a bass or bluegill or starting them off chasing picky trout in a flowing stream, Redington’s Minnow Fly Rod has all of the bases covered. Designed for younger anglers, Redington makes their Minnow Rod with a medium action in a 5-weight 8-foot length in order to minimize overhead snags while also decreasing the swing weight to make both learning how to cast and casting nice and painless. A versatile tool, the Minnow Fly Rod can be used to cast a variety of different flies and tackle most freshwater gamefish, while easy componentry such as alignments dots and a hook keeper remove the frustration from those beginning years on the water. From popping bugs around lilypads to nymphing up their first brown, the Redington Minnow is a tool that’s sure to lead your little one to an enjoyable life of casting flies.

Designed with an aesthetic value that’s sure to help keep the attention of younger anglers, the Minnow Fly Rod combines a snow camo grip with a neon green blank and reel seat.
