The Crux may be the best rod we’ve seen from Redington… ever. A new line speed taper makes distance casting easy and effortless without sacrificing performance at the mid- and short-range. The Crux also features a condensed grip, decreased rod diameter, and solid mid-priced componentry. Redington routinely finds a way to build high-priced technology into mid-priced packages and the Crux is no departure from that tradition. If you’re targeting large Trout, Bonefish, Redfish, and more, the Crux is one of the best mid-priced options on the market.
Line Speed Taper - The blank of the Crux is built with an all-new line speed taper made for extreme distance casting and optimized short-range abilities. The blank taper features a stiffer tip section for reduced vibration and a fine diameter to help increase line speed and rod recovery speed. Redington has built a lot of technology into this blank and the performance of the Crux is a testament to Redington research and design.
Lightweight Stripping Guides - The stripping guides on the Crux are lightweight to decrease the overall weight of the rod and provide minimal line friction. These guides accommodate any fly line.
Hard Chromed Snake Guides - Snake guides are time-proven and industry-accepted. The snake guides on the Crux provide minimal resistance to allow lines to move through the rod effortlessly.
Uplocking w/Black Anodized Aluminum - The reel seat on the Crux is fully anodized with a laser engraved label for easy rod identification. The smaller rods come with a single uplocking component and the larger models come with a double uplocking component to anchor larger saltwater reels. This reel seat is weather-resistant and corrosion safe.
Cordura Rod Tube - The Crux comes in a fully protected Cordura rod tube with dividers for easy storage. Cordura is a phenomenal mid-priced alternative to aluminum and keeps the overall cost of the Crux down.
The Redington Lifetime Warranty - As of July 2019, every new Redington rod purchased through an authorized dealer, excluding the Crosswater Series and Minnow and Topo Combos, is covered by a lifetime original owner warranty. The warranty is limited to replacement of the rod only and does not cover direct, indirect, consequential, incidental or any other type of damage resulting from the use of the product.
