The bottom here is generally a white, soft bottom which allows for excellent visibility of cruising fish at a distance. Whether fishing the middle or southern bight, anglers can expect to be primarily fishing from the skiff in one to three feet of water, with harder-bottomed wading flats scattered throughout the region.
