The Pro Saltwater All Rounder is a great line for a wide range of saltwater (and freshwater) angling applications. This is a line that’s built for versatility, castability, and control at distance. Orvis has built a completely reimagined advanced compound taper into this line to make quick shots easy and longer casts seamless. Whether you’re presenting small flies delicately to picky fish or throwing streamers in windy conditions, this line truly does it all. This is a great line choice for beginners and experienced anglers alike.
Â
AST Plus Slickness - Orvis has built a number of important features into this line. AST Plus Slickness allows anglers to quickly shoot line with friction-minimizing performance. Welded loops on both ends allow easy leader/backing attachment. A braided multifilament core is strong and supple for versatility and durability. AST also easily sheds dirt and oil for a longer-lasting line.
Â
Do-It-All Saltwater - The Pro Saltwater All Rounder, as you probably guessed from its name, is a ‘do-it-all’ saltwater fly line built for versatility and performance in a variety of angling scenarios. The All Rounder has the power to cast at longer distances and a fast-loading front taper for quick shots to cruising fish. The dual belly adds stability and castability to the line for easy shots regardless of target species. The multifilament core adds cold water performance and durability to a great all-around fly line.
Â
Cold/Moderate - This line is made to be used in cold and moderate climates including saltwater scenarios in the Northeast, Northwest, and almost any coldwater saltwater climate. It’s also a line that can be used on larger freshwater fish including Bass, Pike, or Carp. That being said, this line will turn limp in tropical climates and isn’t meant to be used in high heat.
Â
Advanced Compound Taper, Dual Belly - The advanced compound taper of the All Rounder features a front taper, belly, rear taper, a second belly, and a second rear taper. The dual-belly design of the line allows control and accuracy at longer distances without sacrificing the easy-loading capabilities of an aggressive front taper. Orvis also adds a three-tone color scheme so you always know how much line you have out.
