Orvis Pro Ignitor Textured Fly Line

The Pro Ignitor Textured saltwater line from Orvis is a line built for quick shots with larger flies in windy conditions. Features

AST Plus Slickness - Orvis has built a number of important features into this line. AST Plus Slickness allows anglers to quickly shoot line with friction-minimizing performance. Welded loops on both ends allow easy leader/backing attachment. A braided multifilament core is strong and supple for versatility and durability. The Pro Ignitor Textured Line also features a floating texture on the tip section and a shooting texture on the running line for floatation in the front half of the line and castability in the back half. AST also easily sheds dirt and oil for a longer-lasting line.

Uses

Large Flies, Quick Shots, Saltwater - The Pro Ignitor is designed to load fast-action rods at short range for quick shots to tailing or cruising fish. The powerful, short, aggressive front taper is also ideal for blind casting or any scenario when shooting line at longer distances is important. This is also a great line for larger flies or windy conditions when you need to cut down the wind or turn over bulky rigs. This is a great saltwater line for picking line up off of the water quickly and making fast shots and second shots to a variety of species.

Warm/Tropical - The line’s stiff monofilament core retains optimal performance in hot weather and warmer water temperatures. This is a tropical saltwater line that’s built for best performance in sunny, warm environments. This line will start to shrink and curl on you if you use it in a cold water/cold weather scenario.

Taper/Weight

Extra-Short Front Taper - The short front taper of the Ignitor helps energy transfer to turn over large flies in windy conditions. With just a 2.5’ front taper, this is an aggressive line designed for fast action fly rods. A versatile 18’ belly and a 19.5’ rear taper add functionality to make this line more than just a shooting-style line.
