Swimming in an “S” pattern when retrieved, Murdichs Wiggler Fly is one of those flies that gives behavior that few other streamers can. Designed by Bill Murdich, this innovative fly has movement like no other, and it’s an excellent pattern for targeting predatory freshwater fish like bass, pike, large trout, and even walleye. To combine flash with a wiggling movement, Murdichs Wiggler Fly is tied on a uniquely-shaped hook with a long flash tail, small collar, and a flashy synthetic body. While Murdichs Wiggler Fly is one heck of an attractor pattern, it can be used to imitate anything from leeches and baitfish all the way down to crayfish.

Since the movement created by the retrieve is one of the most important aspects of Murdichs Wiggler, it’s important to incorporate a stripped retrieve, and most often, a continuous hand-over-hand strip is very effective. Fish it in rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes, Murdichs Wiggler Fly is one that can entice fish just about anywhere you go.
