Mercer's Missing Link Dry Fly

The Missing Link Dry Fly comes in a variety of colors and sizes to imitate a wide range of floating insects. From BWOs to larger mayflies like a Green Drake, this fly offers a lifelike profile and a high-floating design. The Elk Hair wing gives off the appearance of an Elk Hair Caddis but the elongated body and hackle thorax make this pattern more than just a high-floating dry fly. The fly is tied by Mike Mercer, an Umpqua Signature Tyer, and comes in sizes ranging from 12 to 20 for small mayfly applications and larger Drake-like patterns. This is a great fly to fish a dropper off of or to fish as a stand-alone dry fly. A solid collection of these will help you target that fish of a lifetime in the western US this season.
