The Purist takes inspiration from the tough waters of Silver Creek in Idaho and features a two-piece build in order to decrease the weight by cutting down on ferrules and providing a clean transfer of energy all the way through the blank. Made with a soft tip and quick recovery, the Purist aids in casting those leaders that are pushing 20 feet in length; and while the rod tip has a soft feel, its butt section is nice and stiff to help tame large fish or give that extra bit of power whenever you’re stalking a riser on the opposite bank. Made in line weights 3 through 5, the Purist gives an exceptional and lightweight feel that’s ready for anything from short casts with a terrestrial to long-bomb casts to the riser that’s fifty feet away on a limestone creek.

Graphite - Lamson’s Purists are built out of highly responsive graphite with two-piece construction. This blank is super lightweight with a progressive taper.  Its soft tip transfers into a mid-section designed for accuracy, and the rod finishes off with a stiff butt section that delivers all the power you need. One of those blanks that lets you feel every part of the cast, you’ll love the Purist when sending dry flies over rising fish.

Taking a classic look, Lamson gives the Purist a natural graphite that’s half-sanded with a sprayed clear coat. The thread wraps are a complementary smoke color with crimson accent wraps, giving the Purist a look that’s stealthy and fits into any environment.

Fusion Format Hard Chrome Guides with SiC Stripper Guides - Building on that lightweight feel, Lamson outfits the Purist series with their Fusion Format Guides, all of which are hard-chromed. This Fusion Format configuration consists of small, thin wire single-foot guides in the top 1/3rd of the rod, followed by traditional snake guides in the bottom 2/3rds. What this does is decreases weight by reducing the number of thread wraps and epoxy, while increasing feel with a clean transition of energy. Also, for long-lasting durability, these guides are all hard chromed. 

Reel Seat

Reposado Insert - Combining an uplocking construction with their Lockdown technology, this reel seat is about as tough as it gets. Rod Tube

Just what you need to keep your rod protected everywhere you go, Lamson includes a Cordura-covered rod tube with their Purist Rods. This tube makes for a safe and easy trip. 

Warranty 

Lamson’s Purist Rods come with a lifetime warranty that covers parts and labor but does not cover damages caused by things like misuse, improper maintenance, and modifications. Lamson also offers a repair on your rods for the price of $50.  And Lamson understands how important it is to get their customers back on the water quickly, so as of July 2022, they pledge to get your reel back to you within two weeks of arriving at their warehouse.
