New for 2020, the Hardy Zane rods are the lower-priced cousin to Hardy’s top-of-the-line saltwater series the Zane Pro. These Zane rods have a lot of performance packed into an affordable rod that provides saltwater anglers great value and performance. Based on the rod taper of the Proaxis series, these Zane rods are powerful, fast action, fishing machines. No frills here, just plain old-fashioned do-it-all rods that are sure to be popular with a wide range of anglers from beginners to experts.
SINTRIX 330 Technology - SINTRIX 330 means this rod has an incredible strength to weight ratio. Overall, these rods are incredibly lightweight and really tough, built to survive anything a saltwater angler throws at it. The blank of the Zane is also based on the blank design of the popular Proaxis series of rods and features a range of lengths and line sizes to suit every saltwater scenario from Stripers to Snook.
Ceramic-Lined Titanium Frame Guides - Ceramic-lined titanium guides are incredibly durable and highly corrosion resistant. The ceramic lining minimizes fly line friction as it shoots through the guides and maximizes performance for long-distance casting in the toughest conditions. While these guides don’t rebound when bent or crushed like the guides on the Zane Pro, they’re still expertly designed for ultimate fishability.
Black Snake Guides - Simple black snake guides minimize line friction on the Zane rods and provide saltwater-safe performance. These guides are lightweight and durable for performance when it matters and minimal wear-and-tear during years of use.
Anodized Aluminum w/Double Uplocking Component - Bar stock 6061 aluminum makes the reel seat of the Zane virtually weatherproof. No need to worry about corrosion or wear. A double uplocking component holds large saltwater reels in place during days on the water.
Aluminum Rod Tube - The Zane comes in a classic aluminum Hardy rod tube. These tubes are ultra-durable and super stylish for functionality and purpose.
Hardy Worldwide Extended Warranty - Hardy’s warranty covers repair or replacement of damaged, broken, or defective sections of the fly rod for the lifetime of the product. As of 8/20/2020, rods manufactured after 2002 require a $75 fee for repairs, handling, administration, and return postage.
