Reel Seat

Asymmetrical Reel Seat - Hardy takes an unconventional approach with the reel seat on this series of rods, giving it an asymmetrical construction. Unlike other reel seats, this one is just slightly asymmetrical, which prevents your reel from ever coming loose. This is a really solid feature for small stream fishing, which is usually quite fast-paced and quick to throw you a curveball.  

Rod Tube

Hardy packages their Ultralite NSX SR Rod in a hard tube. This tube is perfect for the traveling angler or for those long treks into your campsite, especially those right next to a blue line packed with brookies. 

Warranty 

As of September 2022, Hardy’s Ultralite X Fly Rods are covered by their Worldwide Extended Warranty. This warranty is pretty straightforward, and for $75, it covers the repair or replacement of your rod.
