Hardy’s well-rounded Demon Series includes a Switch Series of rods. With models from 3wt through 8wt, the Demon Switch is versatile and high performing. Whether you’re targeting trout on western rivers or large Salmon in Alaska, the Demon Switch provides fast action performance and a strong rod blank design. Like the other rods in the Demon Series, the Switch rods are affordable and caster friendly to accommodate any two-handed angler.
SINTRIX 330 Technology - SINTRIX 330 is a complicated technology. Basically, Silica Nano Matrix Tech is a flashy way of saying the blank of the Demon Switch Rod is stronger than traditional carbon fiber rods. In fact, SINTRIX 330 contributes to a rod blank with a 30% increase in comprehensive rod strength over traditional carbon fiber fly rods. That’s a lot. And that strength is reflected in the easy loading capabilities, high recovery speeds, effortless balance, and lightweight design of the Hardy Demon.
Fuji Stripping Guides - The stripping guides on the Demon provide saltwater protection and low friction performance. Fuji stripping guides are used by many fly rod manufacturers because of their strong, lightweight design.
Hard Chrome Snake Guides - Similarly, hard chrome snake guides add functionality and durability to the Demon Switch. Snake guides are industry-accepted and time-proven.
Silver Anodized Aluminum w/Uplocking Component - Bar stock 6061 aluminum with an alloy insert make the reel seat of the Demon virtually weatherproof. No need to worry about corrosion or wear. A double uplocking component holds large Spey reels in place during days on the water.
Aluminum Rod Tube - The Demon comes in a classic black aluminum Hardy rod tube with an engraved metal end cap. These tubes are ultra-durable and super stylish for functionality and purpose.
Hardy Worldwide Extended Warranty - Hardy’s warranty covers repair or replacement of damaged, broken, or defective sections of the fly rod for the lifetime of the product. As of 4/17/2019, rods manufactured after 2002 require a $75 fee for repairs, handling, administration, and return postage.
