Greys is back! 2020 marks the reentry of Greys fly rods into the fly fishing world and they’ve come back with value-priced rod models that are better than ever before. One such series, the GR80 Streamflex, features tried-and-true blank technology and an extensive range of rod model options to cater to anglers fishing small streams, large rivers, ponds, and everything in between. Whether you’re just getting into the sport of fly fishing or you’ve been fishing for years, Greys rods offer unbeatable performance at a superb price-point.
3M Powerlux 1000 Resin - 3M Powerlux 1000 resin and high modulus carbon construction help keep these rods lightweight and strong. Greys designed each individual rod model for specific technical freshwater fishing pursuits and the blanks range from classic models like the 9’ 5wt to less traditional models like the 11’ 3wt Euro nymphing rod. AAA grade cork helps anglers feel the rod action of these blanks all the way through the handle for feedback, feel, and power when you need it.
Classic Stripping Guides - The stripping guides on this rod are simple and functional. These guides accommodate a variety of fly lines and help anglers fish a variety of flies from streamers to dry flies. The stripping guides are durable and will hold up to years of wear-and-tear.
Classic Single Foot Guides - The GR80 Streamflex features simple single foot guides that are built for practicality. These guides minimize line friction throughout the length of the rod and allow anglers to cast farther and maintain a useful connection from fly line to fly.
Custom Greys Reel Seat - The GR80 has a custom Greys reel seat with a burled wood insert on typical trout models and a lightweight carbon fiber insert on Euro models. This reel seat features a classic aesthetic while remaining functional and durable. These rods come with a double uplocking component to anchor any freshwater reel in place during your time on the water.
Hard Partitioned Rod Tube - The GR80 Streamflex rods come in a hard partitioned rod tube to protect the rod during travel and transportation. These rod tubes are functional and practical so you never have to worry about damaging your rod in the car, on the plane, or while it’s stored on the boat.
Greys Rod Warranty - Once you have registered your Greys fly rod, you’re entitled to take part in the Greys Rod Warranty and Repair Service for the lifetime of the product. This includes repair or replacement of damaged, broken, or defective sections of your rod in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Greys warranty. There is also a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults.
