Comparisons 

Imitating the translucent appearance and realistic look provided by epoxy and resin is pretty tough, and Fish-Skull’s Fish-Masks really do it best, meaning there isn’t a great alternative to this product. However, if you want to go the conventional route and craft resin heads on your flies yourself, then an excellent combo is to use Hareline’s Adhesive Eyes in conjunction with Solarez Thick Hard UV Resin. Going the traditional route puts more control in your hands and allows you to place your eyes exactly where you like them and build the fly’s head to your exact liking–while this takes a bit more time, the result can be more desirable depending on how much attention to detail you want in your flies. Though if you want a fast and reliable head without any hassle, the Fish-Skull Fish-Masks are nearly impossible to beat.
