Echo’s TR2 Spey Series (TR stands for Tim Rajeff, the designer of these rods) is a low-priced offering from Echo built for power. This series caters to anglers who prefer to use abrupt bottom-hand power and frequently find themselves making the touch-and-go or Skagit-style casts. The TR2 is stylish, lightweight, durable, and pretty caster-friendly… incredible attributes for a low-priced Spey rod. This rod is great for beginners and excels in its niche.
Graphite Fiber Construction - The blank of the TR2 Series is responsive and caster-friendly. A medium-fast action and tough graphite fiber construction mean the TR2 rods are a joy to cast and remain durable throughout seasons on the water. The TR2 has a glossy army green and black blank color and is finished with quality componentry.
Low Friction Ceramic Stripping Guides -The TR2 rods have ceramic stripping guides to allow line to move through the rods with ease. These guides create low friction and low resistance when casting or retrieving line to simplify an angler’s connection to the fish.
Chrome Snake Guides - Chrome snake guides add durable functionality to the design of the TR2 Spey rods. These guides stand up to abuse on and off the water.
Anodized Aluminum - The TR2 Series has a corrosion-proof black anodized aluminum reel seat designed to protect against the elements and efficiently hold a Spey reel in place without adding extra weight to the rod. A double uplocking component (3wt-6wt) helps balance the rod and secure large reels. The larger Spey rods (7wt-8wt) have a double downlocking component to help balance the rods more efficiently.
Fabric-Covered Rod Tube - The TR2 Spey rods come with a green fabric-covered rod tube and rod sock to store and transport the rod safely. Echo’s rod tube is tried and true and comes with an Echo insignia and rod model label.
Echo Fly Rod Lifetime Warranty - Echo will repair or replace any defective or damaged rod for the entire lifetime of the original owner. All rods must be sent to Echo for repairs/service. As of 4/17/2019, Echo charges a $35 fee for fly rod repairs/replacements.
