The pale morning dun is one of the primary mayfly hatches on the west coast, and while they often hatch from May through September, their nymphs live in the water all year long and provide excellent forage for trout. Whether you are fishing a hatch or just hitting a river packed with PMD nymphs, it is important to have a good imitation for these bugs, and Andy Burks Crystal Hunchback Fly is near impossible to beat. Blending realism with a heavy tungsten bead and just enough flash, the Crystal Hunchback Fly does an excellent job at drawing fish in while letting you probe those deep pockets and cuts.
