Pockets, runs, riffles, pools, and everything in between, whenever you’re drifting the bottom and looking for those nymph-eating fish, Cortland’s Nymph Rod gets the job done. Designed to be lightweight while maximizing feel, the Nymph Fly Rod is a great tool whether you’re working a heavy pair of stoneflies down deep or drifting your favorite Euro Nymph pattern in the middle of the water column. Made out of an ultralight graphite in line weights 2 through 4 with a 10’6” length, the Nymph Rod family provides an option for every trout situation you might encounter; and with its longer length, mending over riffles and maintaining contact is as easy as it gets. Take it on the water each season of the year, Cortland has you covered for every day you spend on the water with their Nymph Fly Rod series.
Blank
Graphite - Built with a focus on direct contact, fast recovery, and a lightweight feel, the Nymph Rod is made from an ultralight graphite. This composition provides solid a connection through every drift while remaining durable when a stream’s trail takes a rocky and unexpected turn. The Nymph Rods are built on a reliable blank whether you’re working a riffle right in front of you or drifting a seam out in the middle of a creek.
Cortland also ensures constant stealth and convenience by giving their Nymph Rods a matte black finish with alignment dots. And although this finish looks great when in your hand, it really gets put to work on those sunny days and clear water situations when any reflection of light may spook the fish.
Guides
To maintain that light feel, Cortland outfits their Nymph rods with over-sized single foot guides. These guides are oversized and make for easy passage of your line while remaining durable over the course of your rod’s life.
Reel Seat
Anodized Down-Locking Reel Seat - With its anodized reel seat, Cortland provides long-standing durabiltiy as well as a lightweight construction. This reel seat will stand up to whatever happens on the water, and its anodized construction gives a stealthy aesthetic to prevent you from spooking fish before you get to hook them. And to keep everything stable, this reel seat has a set of dual locking rings.
Rod Tube
Easy to stow and ready for anything from a backpack strap to the (very messy) backseat of your buddy’s car, Cortland’s Nymph Rods come with a rod bag and tough Cordura rod tube. You can rest easy knowing that this will protect your rod for years to come.
Warranty
For the first year of ownership, Cortland will cover any defects in material or workmanship found in their Nymph Rod series. This warranty does not cover damages due to fire, theft, loss, or accidents. Should any damage occur that’s not due to defects in material or workmanship, Cortland offers a repair or replacement service that, as of August 2022, costs $50.
