Core designed their C1710 Nymph Hooks as an all-purpose nymph hook. This allows you to match stoneflies, caddis, mayflies, and more while also leaving room for those general attractor and searching patterns. 

Comparisons 

Another similar model nymph hook is Ahrex’s FW560 Traditional Nymph Hooks. Ahrex’s FW560 Hooks have a similar bend with a small barb and down-eye, but they don’t get as large as Core’s C1710 Hooks, so if you need to tie some really large nymphs, Core’s hook is a little better option.
