These hooks have a slightly lighter wire than their C1530 Hooks and a bronze finish that provides a clean appearance, while their chemically sharpened point and small barb gives strong hooking and holding power. A versatile series of hooks, the Core C1550 Wet Hooks are made without the short shank of the C1530 Hooks in sizes 6 through 20 so that you can imitate just about any insect in your system. 

Uses

Coming in such a wide range of sizes, you can use Core’s C1550 Hooks to tie nymphs of all sizes as well as winged wet flies and some smaller streamers.

Comparisons 

Mustad’s S70NP-BR Wet Nymph Hooks offer a similar platform to the C1550 Wet Hooks. Both of these hooks have a bronze finish and standard length, but the S70NP-BR Wet Nymph Hooks do have a 2x heavy build, making them a little tougher and a little heavier. Also, Mustad’s S70NP-BR Wet Nymph Hooks come in sizes 2 through 14, whereas the C1550 Hooks are made in sizes 6 through 20.
