Simms has been a leader in the fly fishing industry for quite some time, and that all started with their groundbreaking GORE-TEX® wader designs in the 1990s. Since then, they’ve continued to push the limits of excellent waders and wading equipment, continually winning awards for their innovative and clever designs. In this review, we’ll compare all of the current wader models offered by Simms, discussing their overall design elements and some pros and cons for each wader. Hopefully, this will help you cut through the marketing hype and pick the right pair of Simms waders for your specific fishing needs.
Simms has released their newest iteration of the G4Z Waders, their premium zippered-front chest waders made in Bozeman, Montana. We’ve been fans of the G-series waders for a long time, so we were excited to check out the newest generation and compare it to the previous edition. In this review we’ll discuss the G4Z’s new features, what stayed the same, and what went away. We’ll also discuss whether or not these GORE-TEX waders are worth the hefty price, and who should consider buying them.
Why would I want to change soles? It’s a question that we get all the time when we talk about Korkers boots with our customers. Sure, you get some benefits like having rubber soles to use in your drift boat, but for those of us who aren’t floating every other weekend, it seems like it might be kind of a hassle. To be honest, that’s how we felt before we got to try them all out. The truth is, the soles allow you to maximize your safety (and therefore your fun) on or off the water.
