I was getting sick of my lanyard filled with fishing stuff, but still needing to have a vest, bag, backpack. So I consolidated to this pack. I rigged up a system so the shoulder strap takes the place of my old lanyard. I don't have gear swinging around, it's all nice and tidy. I rigged up a system for my tippet and hemo/clipper both connected to the shoulder strap, makes them handy and easy to get at without catching my line

One of my fishing buddies bought this pack because he was using a sling pack and those are pretty annoying. I actually convinced him to get into the hip pack game and he's still raving about it months later.
