Lamson Arx fly reels feature a conical drag system. Like most Lamson reels, the drag system is designed to minimize maintenance so you spend less time cleaning or rinsing the reel.
One of the most interesting features of the Lamson Arx fly reel is the full cage frame. This completely surrounds the spool, preventing line snags. The cage design also increases the stiffness of the reel without adding large amounts of weight. A small milled section at the bottom of the reel allows for reel palming, providing extra control over the drag.
Other features of the Lamson Arx fly reel include a specially designed drag knob, which is shaped to prevent line fouling, and a Hard Alox finish. The anodized finish of the reel increases durability so the reel stays looking its best for longer. The Lamson Arx fly reel is manufactured with machines 6061 aluminum and stainless steel, making it a durable yet relatively lightweight option.
Lamson Arx fly reels are available for line weights from eight to eleven. The combination of excellent line control, lightweight design and durable construction makes the Lamson Arx difficult to beat in this price bracket.
